The farm has been owned by the Geary's since 1965. They cleared the fields to raise and pasture cows, pigs, chickens and peacocks. Ken farmed the fields for feed hay and selectively timbered the woods to preserve the natural wild life and heat the homestead. Today the woods are frequented mostly by deer and turkey with the occasional bear wandering through.
